About the Role:

Are you early in your HR career and ready to take the next step? We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented self starter to join our HR team of three as our dedicated HR Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands on experience across the all areas of HR and grow into a true professional.

In this role, you'll:

  • Take ownership of day to day HR tasks
  • Work closely with the HR Director and HR team, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR functions
  • Be trusted as the teams go to resource for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth HR operations
  • Have opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, and expand your HR skillset as you grow your career

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Assist in conducting new hire orientations
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Updating employee files in Paylocity
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in driving employee engagement through communications, recognition, and retention programs.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives that align with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, particularly Texas state regulations.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with Google Suite and HRIS systems (Paylocity).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
