This is a hands-on technology leadership role focused on using AI and automation to streamline internal operations at Petra — especially in fund administration, compliance, and management company services. The ideal candidate is a mid to senior-level technologist with AI/ML engineering, data pipeline, and internal tool-building experience, who understands private markets workflows. They will partner directly with firm leadership and work across teams to design and deploy automation, data infrastructure, and intelligent tools that improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • 8–10 years in AI/ML engineering, data science, or full-stack development
  • Proven delivery of AI/automation solutions in production environments
  • Strong Python skills and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Experience with data pipelines, APIs, automation scripting
  • Familiarity with LLM workflows (e.g., embeddings, RAG, fine-tuning)
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Experience building internal tools for workflow enhancement
  • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams
  • Familiarity with private markets systems (e.g., fund accounting software, CRMs)

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in fund administration, accounting, or financial services
  • Exposure to private fund operations (investor portals, document management, etc.)
  • Experience growing or managing small technical teams
  • Full lifecycle ownership of AI/ML solutions
  • Strategic mindset with execution focus

 

Salary Range

At Petra Funds Group, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The compensation range for this position is $175,000 – $240,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only. Actual pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills.
