We are seeking a motivated and reliable part-time Distribution Center Associate to join our team! 

 

Location: e3 Diagnostics HQ, Arlington Heights, IL

Schedule: 24-28 hours/week; Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (days to be determined) 

Pay: $16-$18/hr based on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate good customer service to all departments by ensuring timely movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, following up on issues and concerns from internal and external customers, and promoting a customer-centric environment.
  • Receive incoming product and check the contents of packages against packing list and manifests.
  • Count, enter, and then inventory items received.
  • Answer all channels (phone, email, etc.) of customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process orders received from customers via multiple channels in an accurate and timely manner to include picking, packing, shipping, and fulfilling orders.
  • Maintain knowledge of United States and international shipping requirements to ensure orders are appropriately delivered to customers and returns are received and processed correctly.
  • Initiate and/or process return authorizations for incorrect product orders and/or shipments.
  • Maintain and organize adequate shipping supplies.
  • Meet established metrics for this position at a satisfactory or higher level.
  • Maintain warehouse and ensure storage area is in good condition.
  • Interface with e3 Diagnostics internal and external customers as needed or directed on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in all continuous improvement projects and cost saving measures.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and training within the department. Ensure that the building is kept clean and safe, and that inventories and equipment are adequately safeguarded against theft, fire, and other potential hazards. Additionally, perform housekeeping duties and maintain designated aisles.
  • When necessary, perform facilities general maintenance / servicing needs such as trash removal, stock replenishment, calling and scheduling applicable vendors for repair needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office Suite) and UPS shipping software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend in English simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Be a self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task proactively and re-prioritize on a daily basis to accommodate the changing business requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing across all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Additionally, apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios.
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED degree.
  • 1-2 years distribution or warehouse experience required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during a daily routine. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times. 
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Clear background check including criminal history and education verification.
