About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with multi-engine, instrument, seaplane, and aerial firefighting experience to fill the role of First Officer, acting as SIC on CL-215T fixed wing waterbomber aircraft. This individual must be able to work well under pressure to meet quick deadlines with little outside guidance and supervision. In this role you are primarily responsible for maintaining our King Air aircraft to support various missions.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate aircraft in accordance with the FAR Part 91/137 and Aircraft Flight Manuals
Assess the operational environment to ensure that the required mission objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner - Apply good airmanship, sound pilot decision making and crew resources management skills to ensure that a safe and efficient environment is maintained for both crew and aircraft
- Follow all Company Policy and Procedures
- Ensure compliance as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures and GOM
- Work closely with the Bridger Operations Centre and regional fire dispatch to maintain a regular flow of information regarding flight requirements, schedules and duty time limitations
- Maintain knowledge and currency of aircraft operating systems, avionics, weather and regulations ensuring all mandatory publications are updated and all relevant changes are reviewed, clearly understood and followed
- Assist maintenance in positioning aircraft in preparation for, and after, flights
- Assist aircraft maintenance mechanics with aircraft servicing. (i.e., fuel, oil, grooming, towing etc.)
- Assist the Safety personnel to ensure safe operations and report any hazards
- Ensure a positive and professional customer service attitude is maintained
- Ensure all federal regulatory, administrative, financial, and operational documentation is completed accurately without delay
Job Requirements
- One Season Air Attack Experience (Preferred)
- Commercial Pilot Airplane Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine land and sea ratings
- Multi-Engine Sea rating can be obtained after selection.
- Valid Class II (or Class I) FAA Medical Certificate
- PIC Airplane = 800 hours
- Pilot hours in the preceding 12-months 100 hours
- PIC Seaplane experience highly desirable
- Valid Drivers’s License and Passport
- Ability to Pass DOT drug screening
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time (both domestic and international)
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. FAR’s
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under no supervision and under high pressure
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Tools required
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
