REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and two years of education, formal training, or progressive area-related experience are required.
The ideal applicant will possess creative and graphic design skills with a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro and Acrobat; and current web and social media content creation skills. A positive attitude, professional image, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively with others while managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously are required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with developing and maintaining marketing campaigns and educational materials (i.e. brochures, posters, inserts, banners, newspaper ads, website, etc.) as well as disclosures and in-house documents that comply with local, state, and federal rules and regulations and credit union policies.
- Assist with creating, editing, and posting content on the credit union's social media networks, ensuring maximum effectiveness of advertising to include relevant events, sponsorships, education, and other news related to First Community's locations.
- Coordinates sponsorship/donation requests by tracking and organizing the requests presented to the credit union from organizations and entities as well as follow up for approved participation.
- Monitors marketing campaign materials and promotional and operational supplies as approved and accessible to all branch locations.
- Assist the Vice President of Marketing in establishing a multi-year marketing strategy consistent with the Credit Union's vision. Assist with developing and implementing an annual marketing plan and budget; monitor and track branch marketing and promotional budgets.
- Process and ship weekly branch marketing orders.
- The willingness and ability to learn about financial industry trends and competition by reading pertinent materials and attending approved meetings and seminars to increase the effectiveness of First Community's marketing strategies.
- Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity, and trust at all times.
- Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
- Completes required compliance training on time and complies with all regulations within the scope of the position. Keep abreast of changes dictated by regulations, rules, and laws to ensure compliance within marketing.
- Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and anti-money laundering regulations.
BASE EXPECTATIONS:
- Be willing to perform any duty (beyond the Essential Functions above) as assigned.

- Communicate effectively with members, coworkers, and management to promote teamwork throughout the credit union and maintain exceptional relations with the community, public, or other close contacts.
- Recognize and listen to member/coworker requests and/or concerns and identify their needs to help ensure successful resolutions.
- Demonstrates exceptional judgment with knowing when to resolve concerns and/or seek guidance from management.
- Possess a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft suite and associated software programs and proficiently operated office equipment.
- Maintain general knowledge of products, services, and functions of all operations within the Credit Union, particularly within the marketing department’s area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate positive listening skills to respond to staff and management's questions and concerns adequately.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods may be necessary.
- Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
