• Part time role with pay rates of $27.91 + super + allowances

• $750 Sign on bonus + $750 Retention bonus (based on return of service)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport. In this role, you'll be responsible for passenger and baggage screening, helping maintain a secure and efficient airport environment. This part-time, permanent position offers a minimum of 24 hours per week on a rotating roster, with flexibility to work split shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Aviation Protection Officers are the vital front-line team members at MSS Security, playing a key role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers at Ballina Airport. Whether you're new to the aviation security industry or have prior experience, we offer industry-leading training and development to help you succeed, guided by a passionate and knowledgeable team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough screening of passengers, staff, and baggage, ensuring compliance with aviation security regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting passengers with a professional demeanour.

• Monitor security checkpoints, oversee traffic flow, and ensure proper procedures are followed at all times.

• Perform frisk and bag searches, generate incident reports, patrol the premises, and control access to sensitive areas.

• Operate security technology, including metal detectors and X-ray machines.

Requirements for this role -

• NSW Security License

• Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) clearance or ability to obtain

• Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) & Certificate II in Security Operations

• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications

• Current Driver licence

• Ability to multi-task efficiently, and maintain strong customer service skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings, national police checks, and medical assessments
