About the role
We are looking to add a Leve 2 Miner Maintenance Technician to our growing Miner Maintenance Team. As a Level 2 Miner Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the advanced diagnostics and repairs to all miners on site and compiling reports to share with management. This on-site position will directly support our Miner Maintenance Team at our Rockdale, TX facility.
Essential Functions
- Perform advanced diagnostic and repair techniques to all miners on site to include diagnosing power supply-PSU’s, control board, perform firmware uploads – change the settings of miners, handle escalated board ticket repairs, perform diagnostics on power distribution units.
- Compile reports of all non-hashing machines in assigned area. Commission new miner installations.
- Identify and report all network outages to Assistant Supervisor.
- Assist in keeping inventory of parts and tools using a check out procedure.
- Take lead on tracking inventory of all assigned building in accordance with compliance.
- Assist in Research & Development projects.
- Train Tier 1 Technicians.
- Build heat maps of immersion tanks to help diagnose overheating sections.
- Operate a scissor lift at heights up to 20 feet to install and maintain bitcoin miners.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Ability to bring attention clearly and promptly to any major errors in the Data Center that involve the Miner Maintenance team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work at heights on lifts and ladders required.
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Excel and Outlook and monitoring production software.
- Knowledge of basic tool use including: multi-meter, screwdriver, test-light, box cutter, wire cutters.
- Experience with computer troubleshooting, and repair is required.
- Experience in networking troubleshooting.
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose basic machine failures.
Schedule
- 12 hour shift.
- Holidays.
- Night shift.
- Overnight shift.
- Weekends as needed.
