Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team. This individual will be primarily responsible for preparing reports and conducting analysis for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) of a $2.5 billion commercial bank. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights for senior management. This position will report directly to the Controller of the bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interest Rate Risk Management: Prepare and maintain regular interest rate risk (IRR) reports, including net interest income simulations, economic value of equity analysis, and sensitivity stress testing. Monitor trends in interest rate risk exposures and communicate findings to ALCO and executive management.
  • Liquidity Risk Management: Develop and update liquidity risk reports, including cash flow forecasts, contingency funding plans, and regulatory liquidity ratios. Analyze deposit trends, wholesale funding strategies, and overall balance sheet liquidity.
  • Capital Planning & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the quarterly capital plan, incorporating projected earnings, balance sheet growth, and stress testing results. Support regulatory capital adequacy analysis and related reporting requirements.
  • Profitability Analysis: Prepare profitability reports by line of business, division, or product type to support strategic decision-making. Conduct financial and risk analysis to evaluate business performance and resource allocation.
  • ALCO Support: Compile, analyze, and present financial data in clear, concise reports for ALCO meetings. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all reporting deliverables.

Other Duties

Assist in various ad hoc financial modeling, scenario analysis, and reporting requests from executive leadership.

Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and emerging best practices in risk and financial reporting.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CFA/CPA preferred).
  • 3–7 years of experience in banking, financial analysis, treasury, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, interest rate risk, liquidity management, and regulatory capital.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and reporting systems (experience with ALM software preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Language Skills

Requires ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally); Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills

Requires the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate interest rates and ratios, and interpret graphical data.


Work Environment & Growth

This position offers exposure to senior management decision-making and provides an opportunity to develop expertise in asset/liability management, capital planning, and profitability reporting. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the bank’s financial strategy and risk management framework.

Salary: The salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually.
