Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to lead our operational procurement team in support of Global Procurement priorities. This role is critical in ensuring our businesses receive high-quality products and services—on time, at the optimal cost, and in full compliance with company standards. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, build supplier relationships, and contribute to the achievement of Lincoln Electric’s strategic goals.

**This is a hybrid position with 3 days of in office work required at our Plymouth, MI location**
What You Will Do
- Lead and Manage the operational procurement department for the assigned site.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally with engineering, operations, and other departments to align purchasing activities with business needs.
- Drive Cost Efficiency by identifying cost savings opportunities and implementing strategic cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure Accuracy & Timeliness in releasing, confirming, and monitoring purchase orders to support on-time delivery.
- Maintain Compliance with regulations, standards, and company procurement processes.
- Build Relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to strengthen supply chain reliability.
- Monitor Supplier Performance and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage Inventory levels of critical materials and components in alignment with defined target values.
- Support Strategic Procurement by partnering with sourcing leads to execute strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop Talent within the purchasing team by determining staffing needs, providing training, and fostering skill development.
- Analyze & Report procurement metrics, risks, and opportunities, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
Required Experience & Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in supply chain or operations management, ideally in engineered-to-order products or a similar field.
- Leadership: Proven team leadership and project management experience with a commitment to company values.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, ERP/MRP systems (Epicor or similar), and proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Analytical Strength: Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, analytics, and supply chain issue resolution.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Complies with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
