JOB PURPOSE |
Develops and maintains quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements. Conducts detailed quality assessments, analyzes quality data, and works across various departments to ensure QMS compliance and continuous improvement. Leads quality preparation and implementation of quality programs and systems. The Quality Systems Coordinator reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
The Quality Systems Coordinator drives QMS compliance and continuous improvement to ensure accurate and consistent production of quality products. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and policies.
- Plan, execute, and document regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify company and regulatory risks.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ITAR regulations.
- Provide guidance on ISO 9001 and other relevant standards, ensuring the organization understands and implements these regulations effectively.
- Ensures effective and timely closure of audit findings.
- Participate in developing and monitor quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze quality data and metrics for trends, root causes, and areas of improvement.
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure proper investigation and resolution.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure audit personnel are qualified, trained, and competent.
- Assist in training staff in quality standards and best practices.
- Communicate quality system updates and compliance status to management.
- Work with laboratory staff to ensure dimensional results are accurate and reliable.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Work on the implementation of Kaizen activities across the facility.

- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

- Skilled in internal auditing and risk-based decision-making.
- Technical writing skills for SOPs, audit reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, unite staff under quality objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect nonconformities, inconsistencies, and process deviations.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and build trust with key stakeholders.
- Ability to make sound, pragmatic judgements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE |
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study.
- Lead Auditor certification ISO 9001.
- 10 years of relevant experience with project leadership roles.
- Ability to learn, adapt, and be flexible.
- Possess the ability to implement and manage change.
- Strong problem solving/conflict resolution skills.
- Must have experience with Oracle NetSuite
WORKING CONDITIONS |
The Quality Systems Coordinator is a salaried position and may require additional work time outside of regularly scheduled shifts such as weekends, evening, day, or holiday hours as needed to meet production requirements. Work is performed in a mix of high-paced manufacturing, warehouse and a typical office environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
Physical requirements include but are not limited to sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, climbing, and lifting. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or less regularly.

Must be at least 18 years old.
