Job Title: High School Math Tutor
Location: Foundation Academies – Trenton, NJ
Schedule
: 2 to 4 afternoons per week, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Compensation: $30 per day

Whether you’re a current college student, a retired teacher, a STEM professional, or just passionate about math, this is your chance to share your skills and inspire the next generation

Competencies and Responsibilities

  • Tutor small groups (2–5 scholars) in Algebra, Geometry, and algebraic thinking.
  • Support preparation for major assessments (e.g., PSAT, SAT).
  • Use provided curriculum/resources for targeted instruction.
  • Track and communicate student progress with teachers, students, and families.
  • Create an encouraging, structured, and positive learning environment.

Do everything necessary or requested to prepare our scholars for college and to instill in them our core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.

 

Requirements

  • Strong math proficiency required.
  • You are committed to living out our mission.
  • Currently enrolled in college, college degree, or professional math/STEM background preferred.
  • In-person availability, Mondays–Fridays between 3:00-4:00pm (2–4 days per week).

 

Supporting/Additional Documents Requested

  • Semifinalist candidates will be required to provide unofficial transcripts, evidence of certification/eligibility, and 3 professional references. 
  • Hired candidates are responsible for the following: official transcripts, criminal clearance (fingerprinting), and medical clearance (TB/Mantoux testing) as required by NJDOE.
