Position: Extended Care Coordinator
This role supports HRBA’s mission by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students during after-school hours and occasional special events. The position involves direct supervision of children and activities, promoting their well-being in body, mind, and spirit, while keeping spaces clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise students and ensure safety at all times
• Lead age-appropriate activities: play, homework time, arts, tutoring, language, outdoor time, and other activities
• Support social-emotional skills with positive, respectful communication
• Maintain tidy program areas; set up and clean up materials
• Follow school and Archdiocesan policies, including safety protocols
Qualifications
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Patience, initiative, and clear communication with children and families
• Commitment to HRBA’s Catholic mission and bilingual model
• Candidates with direct Catholic education experience will be prioritized
Schedule and Compensation
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2–3 hours/day (10–15 hours/week)
• Compensation: $17 per hour Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
• Start Date: ASAP
• School Year Position: Follows the 180-day academic calendar; school breaks and holidays off
• This position is not benefits-eligible
