Position Summary:
The Stakeholder and Event Coordinator serves as one of the organization’s key representatives to external stakeholders — including community partners, industry associations, and local chambers of commerce in all regions that we serve — ensuring all engagement reflects Fedcap Canada’s mission and values and supports our goal of fostering economic wellbeing for the jobseekers we serve.
The Stakeholder and Event Coordinator will coordinate the planning and execution of internal and external events that advance strategic priorities and stakeholder engagement. This includes coordinating with vendors and venues, assisting with managing budgets and timelines, assisting with developing event programming in collaboration with internal teams, and ensuring high-quality experiences that align with organizational branding and messaging. This role will also be responsible for monitoring event outcomes and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve impact and effectiveness.
The Stakeholder and Event Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening the Fedcap Canada brand with local decision-makers under the direction of the Fedcap Group’s Chief Strategy Officer to support the organization’s continued growth in Canada.
What You'll Do:
Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain and actively manage a portfolio of at least 10 external stakeholders, ensuring quarterly touchpoints and documented engagement plans for key partners.
Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy that achieves 95%+ satisfaction rates in post-event and post-engagement surveys.
Monitor and report on stakeholder engagement metrics monthly, including response rates, engagement levels, and retention rates, with a goal of improving engagement by 10% year-over-year.
Maintain highest level of responsiveness and communication through daily monitoring of inbox and responses to emails sent within 24 hours
Develop 1-2 social media posts per week to drive community and stakeholder engagement
Maintain and update a stakeholder contact database and media list; ensure accurate segmentation for targeted outreach.
Event Coordination
Assist in determining Fedcap Canada’s participation in local events, identifying opportunities, planning and coordinating logistics, coordinating internal teams, and promoting our mission directly to partners and jobseekers.
Coordinate and manage the logistics of 5-10 events annually
Develop social media content to help promote events leading up to both internal and external events
Develop 1-2 event related posts for social media following internal and external events (video and static content)
Coordinate with vendors and venues to ensure high quality and seamless execution
Assist with managing budgets and timelines, proactively flagging emerging issues
Assisting with developing event programming in collaboration with internal teams
Ensure high-quality experiences that align with organizational branding and messaging.
Communication & PR Support
Develop and implement communication plans to support stakeholder engagement, outreach campaigns, and events, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
Draft event announcements, newsletters, and stakeholder updates to promote programs, jobseeker success stories, and partnership milestones.
Collaborate with the PR Manager to develop content for social media, website updates, and email campaigns that highlight organizational impact and drive engagement subject to approval by the Fedcap Group’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Assist in organizing speaking opportunities, media events, and interviews for leadership and partners to elevate the organization’s profile in the community.
Track communications metrics (e.g., open rates, engagement, media impressions) and contribute to quarterly reports on communication effectiveness and outreach impact.
You’re a Great Fit for This Role If You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in communications, social media, events, public relations, policy, government relations, advocacy or similar role– either in-house or agency.
A high degree of emotional intelligence and critical thinking.
Compensation:
$60,000-$75,000 CAD
