Position Summary:

The Internal Communication and Engagement Specialist is responsible for collaborating with executive leadership and stakeholders across HealthPoint to manage and execute internal communications, and to develop and create content that meets organizational needs and supports HealthPoint's strategic direction.

 

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

 

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Help increase employee awareness, understanding, and engagement with HealthPoint's mission, vision, and strategy.
  • Develop and execute a strategic internal communications plan and calendar that supports HealthPoint's culture and aligns with our values and focus areas.
  • Work directly with CEO to research and draft select CEO communications like Town Hall remarks, whole team emails, and speeches/talking points for key events.
  • Work directly with senior leadership to produce content and communications that supports strategic goals and helps to advance the organization's strategy and priorities.
  • Consult with HealthPoint leaders to develop project communications that align with organizational priorities including clinical, technology, and administrative projects.
  • Collaborate with Senior leadership Team to develop and implement employee engagement plans, events, and strategies, including monthly Town Halls and other employee focused events.
  • Work with C&E team to create, develop, expand, and manage the patient and staff story process to include locating participants, interviewing, developing themes, concepts, and scripts to tell a compelling and powerful story.
  • Manage key internal communications platforms and channels and keep information flowing to and from employees.
  • Develop content for internal management and employee communications and town halls in coordination with video producer, social media coordinator, and executive admin director.
  • Collaborate with Talent Management Team to develop and implement employee education, engagement plans, recognition, promotions, and strategies.
  • Manage development and creation of bi-weekly staff engagement publication (THE Point) in partnership with the Communications and Social Media coordinators.
  • Collaborate with communications team to maintain and evolve editorial calendar with relevant, engaging content, leveraging internal communications channels.
  • Support tracking and reporting of metrics and results. Conducts relevant research to support internal employee programs.
  • Synthesize content and distills complex concepts into clear messages for both technical and non-technical readers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services.
  • Edit content for clarity, punctuation, and style.
  • Develop and manage communication plans for select and strategic initiatives as part of work groups.
  • Align with HealthPoint's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for employees, patients, and community.

 

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or other field requiring strong writing skills and five (5) or more years in the development and execution of content across multiple mediums. This experience will include producing content for social media channels., producing for websites and blogs or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

If you know about the following it’s a plus:

  • Ability to operate computers and related software programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Smartsheet, Google Analytics.
  • Ability and interest in learning new social media platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design programs also preferred. Interest and experience with social media platforms.

 

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start.  HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination.  If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.

Where to gather your records:

  • If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.
  • If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance.
  • If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. This is a great opportunity to get your immunization record up to date at no additional expense.
