Position Summary

The part time Emerging Designer will work on two DCDC project during the 2025 fall semester. They will work with DCDC fulltime staff to develop schematic design and graphic design for the projects.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • General office administration.
  • Work on community-engaged design projects including design development, graphic representation, community engagement and production of draft and final deliverables.

Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications

Education – A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or 18 months to four years of work experience in a related field.


Preferred Qualifications  

Working on a degree/has finished a degree   in architecture

   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Some educational background in architecture.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign), SketchUp (or other 3D modeling software) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Physical Requirements

Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).


Work Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
