Purpose: Inspects and processes O-rings to meet criteria for quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy
- Sets-up, programs, operates and troubleshoots inspection machines & automated packaging equipment, safely according to company policies
- Inspects o-rings & other parts for various defects on the inspection table / belt
- Performs weigh counting, packaging and labeling as directed on the job traveler
- Follows job specifications as detailed on the job traveler and product specifications
- Records start time and completion time of job
- Follows FIFO protocol for inventory rotation
- Advises supervisor of shortfalls in quality and temporarily suspends inspection or sorting until issue is addressed
- Maintains proper housekeeping in inspection areas in and around machines during and at the end of the work shift
- Observes safety and security procedures
- Cross trains and assists in other areas within the QA department as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software
- Basic math & language skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
