Part-Time Inspection Room Operator chez SeaLand Design

Purpose: Inspects and processes O-rings to meet criteria for quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer requirements.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy
• Sets-up, programs, operates and troubleshoots inspection machines & automated packaging equipment, safely according to company policies
• Inspects o-rings & other parts for various defects on the inspection table / belt
• Performs weigh counting, packaging and labeling as directed on the job traveler
• Follows job specifications as detailed on the job traveler and product specifications
• Records start time and completion time of job
• Follows FIFO protocol for inventory rotation
• Advises supervisor of shortfalls in quality and temporarily suspends inspection or sorting until issue is addressed
• Maintains proper housekeeping in inspection areas in and around machines during and at the end of the work shift
• Observes safety and security procedures
• Cross trains and assists in other areas within the QA department as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software
• Basic math & language skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
