Located in Barrie and reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent supports the OMVIC Project Office by providing frontline customer service, registering students, exam distribution, academic policies, and all administrative detail associated with the project. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as a frontline resource to provide information about the certification course process and responding to enquiries from students, OMVIC, licensing bureau offices, and dealerships
• Supplying necessary manuals / course access information
• Ensure correct / complete registration information is received, reviewing citizenship documentation, and verifying payment method prior to registration
• Registering students to the OMVIC certification course and create student accounts into the Student Information System (Banner)Assisting with the distribution and processing of MVDA Key Elements exams across the province as necessary
Qualifications:
• Successfully completed a one-year post secondary certificate or diploma in a relevant field of study such as Business or Office Administration
• At least 6 months experience in a front-line office environment
• Post Secondary (College) work experience would be considered an asset
• Excellent computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Internet
• Strong organization/communication skills (Oral/Written) with the ability to problem solve quickly in a professional manner
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills with proven public relations abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle unusually high volumes of work with composure and confidence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
