We are looking for a talented Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Innovation team. Reporting into our Learning Design Manager, you’ll design and develop high-quality digital learning products that support our strategic goals and deliver value to our global community of finance professionals. You will play a key role in shaping the learning journey for CPA Program candidates and professional development participants.

 

Your key duties include:

 

  • Lead the end-to-end design of engaging, learner-centric digital courses and assessments.
  • Translate complex financial services content into accessible, interactive learning experiences.
  • Apply evidence-based instructional design models to enhance engagement, retention, and behavioural change.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to deliver learning solutions aligned with member needs.
  • Embrace AI and emerging technologies to improve design workflows and learner outcomes.
  • Ensure all learning materials meet CPA Australia’s quality standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Conduct peer reviews and apply instructional design frameworks to maintain pedagogical integrity.
  • Use learner feedback and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of design templates, standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Co-create learning experiences that meet business and learner needs.
  • Integrate AI to streamline design processes and elevate learner experience.

 

About You:

 

You’re a strategic thinker and creative problem-solver with a passion for learning design. You bring:

 

  • Proven experience designing and delivering high-quality learning solutions in complex environments.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE).
  • Strong skills in assessment design aligned to learning outcomes and competency standards.
  • Expertise in eLearning tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), H5P, and LMS platforms (preferably D2L Brightspace).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to innovation, with experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is highly desirable.
