Our Isaac Plains Mine is a metallurgical coal mine owned and operated by Stanmore and located 20km's outside of Moranbah.  

The Opportunity 

We have an opportunity for a HST Superintendent role within the site team.  

This is a dynamic, hands-on role providing advice and leadership on all matters within your portfolio.  You will be responsible for: 

• Ensuring the site meets emergency, health and compliance related targets at all times.
• Understanding the intricate details required to effectively manage Emergency, Health and Hygiene and Security responsibilities.
• Provide timely advice to the HST Manager in relation to injury management and preventative programs.
• Mental Health support and evolution within the Mining environment.
• Managing the Emergency management contracts and associated contractors on site to ensure site has the required skills to maintain a highly effective emergency response capability.
• Participating in the Leading Safety program onsite and provide leadership to your team in relation to continued Leading Safety management.

To join our success, you will be a motivated, self-starter with exceptional leadership skills, together with: 

• Demonstrated success as a HSE Superintendent ideally in mining
• Cert IV or higher Workplace Health and Safety plus tertiary qualification or equivalent in Health, Emergency field.
• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor (Preferred)
• Mine Site Safety Supervisors S1, S2, S3 & G2 competency
• Establish and Maintain the Risk Management System RIIRIS601D (G3) (within the first 12 months)
• Establish and Maintain the WHS Management System RIIWHS601D (G7) (within the first 12 months)
