Job Description:The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics has brought together Griffith’s formidable strengths in biomedical research by combining the outstanding discovery and translational research, infrastructure, and training expertise of the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, the Institute for Glycomics and biomedical teams from within the former Menzies Health Institute Queensland. The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics will deliver real and immediate impacts locally and globally, transforming the lives of people around the world, especially those in disadvantaged communities.
Join Griffith University’s dynamic Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics as an Administration Coordinator, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a leading research institute. Reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, this position offers a diverse and engaging scope of responsibilities, from coordinating events and scholarship programs to supporting recruitment and enterprise systems.
You will also:
- Provide general administrative support including email management, enquiry handling, and record keeping.
- Assist staff with University enterprise systems (finance, HR, procurement).
- Coordinate recruitment processes for staff, students, and visitors.
- Manage scholarship and award programs within the Institute.
- Organise events, workshops, conferences, and visitor itineraries.
- Support research and project activities including data entry and report preparation.
- Maintain databases and contribute to system upgrades and testing.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for committees and working groups.
- Offer policy and procedural advice and contribute to their development.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support Institute operations.
- Ensure compliance with University policies and legislation, including equity and health & safety.
About you
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an associate diploma qualification and at least two years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience. You will thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy making meaningful contributions to research and education.

This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time base salary for a HEW Level 5 is in the range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
