All about the role:
As a Lead Software Engineer In Test, you will lead end-to-end test automation activities for major initiatives across multiple regions, such as CRM, Contact Center, AI, and Service Operations rollouts. You will be responsible for supporting with test automation solutions, from development through to technical go-live. Your role will involve interacting with senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving timely, high-quality test automation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about driving test automation at scale, with exposure to large-scale E-Commerce, CRM, and ERP systems. You will be at the heart of a dynamic environment, where your ability to support with test automation frameworks and scripts will be critical to success.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), collaborating across multiple Agile Release Trains. The initiatives you will participate in are at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, and your contributions will directly impact our success.

What you’ll do:

  • Planning & Reporting: Evaluate and suggest appropriate test automation tools and frameworks, with focus on exploring open source technologies and in-house cloud native solutions development, as part of the process make sure to involve whole team in the decision making. Plan projects and their executions. Define and monitor automation KPIs such as test coverage, stability, and ROI. Generate and communicate test execution reports and quality insights to stakeholders.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team in implementation of reliable solutions. Be role model in clean code and best practices, resolve technical bottlenecks and make sure deliver the solution within deadlines. Facilitate skill development through training and knowledge sharing.

  • Framework Development: Design, build from scratch and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that can be reused by whole CDI domain. Ensure frameworks support multiple application types (e.g., web, mobile, APIs, desktop). Be ready to jump into unknown areas and quickly implement the most suitable solutions.

  • Test Script Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable test automation scripts. Work with different application layers: UI, API, database, and possibly mobile or desktop apps. Implement and maintain utilities and test libraries. If required support developers with unit tests.

  • Test Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define what to automate, when, and how. Ensure test automation is integrated in the CI/CD pipeline and supports continuous testing. Promote a quality-first, automation and API-first mindset across teams.

  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Investigate test failures and identify root causes— whether it’s a test issue, application defect, or environment problem. Provide quick and effective fixes or workarounds.

  • Test Data & Environment Handling: Set up or manage basic test data for automated runs. Run tests across different environments and report inconsistencies.

  • Documentation: Document automated tests and provide clear test case descriptions. Keep test coverage and automation status updated in tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.

Who are you:

  • Leadership & Expertise: Proven experience leading test automation initiatives, designing and building scalable test frameworks, and driving automation strategy. Expert-level coding skills in Python. Strong background in API test automation, microservices testing, and application development. Experienced with Git, CI/CD pipeline setup in Azure DevOps (or similar), and containerization tools like Docker.

  • Knowledge on JavaScript, TypeScript, FastAPI, Next.js is a plus

  • Agile Mindset: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe) with a track record of delivering in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Able to guide teams through changing requirements while maintaining quality and velocity. Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive initiatives from concept to completion.

  • Team Collaboration & Communication: Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with a focus on mentoring, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder alignment. Skilled at translating complex technical topics for diverse audiences and facilitating collaboration between QA, development, product, and DevOps teams.

  • Technical Vision: In-depth experience with modern development tools, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. Well-versed in Robot Framework, Selenium Grid, and observability/reporting tools such as Grafana, ReportPortal, or similar.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drives continuous improvement in automation practices and framework evolution. Proactively identifies technical debt and opportunities for optimization. Stays ahead of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in test automation.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A track record of ongoing learning and professional development is highly valued.
