Ideal candidates will have strong experience with Java, Angular, and SQL Server. Additional experience with Spring, web technologies, unit testing, containers, and cloud technologies (Docker, Azure, Helm Charts) is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable, secure, and efficient code following department standards.
- Utilize source control (Git), including branching, merging, and continuous integration practices.
- Conduct and participate in peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with management to improve development processes and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs; update unit tests to prevent regressions.
- Perform comprehensive testing (e.g., integration, performance, security).
- Use code metrics and coverage tools to enhance code quality.
- Mentor and support onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain hands-on familiarity with relevant products and systems.
- Communicate concerns and suggestions to management and peers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and SQL Server (or other RDBMS).
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Git and source control workflows.
- Experience building scalable, high-availability systems.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Receptive to feedback and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Agile development experience is a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and certification.
