Job Title: Supervisor AOG Buyer
Location: Orlando, FL
Department: Materials
Reports To: Senior Manager AOG & Line Materials
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Supports Materials with providing critical part movement to fulfill variable demands that impact the operation of the airline. This entails arranging courier support and initiating direct contact with vendors/airline cargo units to meet the immediate requirement(s). Additionally, candidate provides real-time quotes (ETAs) and status updates to upper management, as well as Maintenance Control personnel. Position involves training of department personnel, ensuring all processes and procedures are complied with.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as AOG subject matter expert in recurring cross-functional staff meetings.
- Coordinates internal part movements.
- Responsible for increased levels of approvals and authorizations.
- Maintains detailed records of all moving aircraft material.
- Communicates updates through reports with various departments.
- Works as liaison between Materials, Maintenance Control, Stores, and Line Maintenance
- Maintains an awareness of Hazardous Materials shipping requirements.
- Maintains 100% visibility on all moving material requirements.
- Obtains proof of delivery by establishing positive contact with recipients
- Determines appropriate service levels for material movement, based on priority of requirement.
- Determines most cost-effective method of shipping.
- Proactively reviews stock and usage levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- College degree in Business or related field required; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years in airline/aviation experience or supply chain management/inventory control.

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to work 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, copy machine/printer.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phones, printers, and overhead lights).
- Ability to work in a confined office or open cubicle environment
