SPED Educational Assistant at Oregon Trail School District #46

Position: SPED Educational Assistant   / .6250 FTE / 5 hours per day Monday - Friday 

Job Statement: Will work with students to reinforce teacher instruction. Students served may have special handicapping conditions or behavioral concerns that require assistance for the student to succeed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to assist with toileting may be required
• General skills in mathematics, English and writing
• Ability to work with students and adults
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children in groups or classroom setting desired
• Must be ESSA qualified:
  • 2 years education at an institution of higher education
  • Associates degree, or
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment administered by the district on reading, writing, mathematics and instructional delivery skills
