Job Summary: This position is responsible for delivering instruction to high school students (grades 9–12) in Business Education. The teacher will collaborate with administrators, colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student learning, growth, and achievement.

Essential Functions:
Provide classroom instruction in Business Education following the district curriculum.
Teach content at appropriate levels of difficulty and adjust instruction as needed.
Assess student progress and provide feedback, reinforcement, or adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
Use a variety of teaching methods and technology to engage students.
Maintain classroom organization, structure, and discipline aligned with district policies.
Prepare lessons, activities, and assessments that meet district and state standards.
Collaborate with grade-level and department teams to support student learning.
Communicate expectations and foster responsibility, cooperation, and respect among students.
Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Stay current with educational trends, curriculum changes, and instructional technology.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of teaching principles, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
Knowledge of Business Education content and related career pathways.
Ability to design lesson plans, write learning objectives, and evaluate student work.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and administrators.
Proficiency with instructional technology and basic office software.
Supervision of Other Employees:
This position does not supervise other District employees.
Physical Job Requirements:
Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to talk, hear, and engage with students for extended periods.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education and relevant instructional subject area.
License: Current Minnesota teaching license in Business Education (Grades 9–12).
