Production Supervisor-1st Shift at Dowa THT America, Inc.

Reporting to the Senior Production Supervisor, the 1st Shift Production Supervisor provides daily supervision and operational  management for a production department/shift, comprised of approximately 15 to 18 hourly workers and a Production Lead.  The hours for this position are 5:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts rotating with weekends.    Responsibilities include:

• coaching, training, staffing, and performance management for direct subordinates.
• creation and management of the production processing schedule and workflow for an assigned area, as well as the preparation of individual schedules.
• workforce planning and assistance in the recruitment process.
• assurance of quality specifications and guidelines.
• customer contact.
• production updates regarding shift performance, equipment status, and maintenance issues.
• identification of efficiency and performance gaps; presenting and implementing a remediation plan. 
• creating a cross training strategy/schedule to accommodate fluctuating labor shortages.
• completing furnace checks as is required.
• monitoring and enforcing all appropriate safety guidelines, creating a culture of continuous awareness and compliance.
• plannig and generating recipes/production documentation required for customer product.

The successful candidate will have:

• High School education or equivalent.
• Five years experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of three years experience supervising production and staff in an industrial environment.
• Microsoft Office Product competency.
