Investor Relations Analyst 

REPORTS TO: Director of Capital Markets

STATUS:  Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investor Relations Analyst is responsible for supporting the accurate modeling of all projects from closing through permanent loan conversion. In this role, the analyst collaborates closely with teams across the company, serving as a key point of contact for resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Beyond modeling, the position also involves participating in project meetings, managing contract extensions, and contributing to various responsibilities unique to the role.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial modeling

  • Provide support for 45L energy tax credit compliance and documentation
  • Coordinate 4% supplemental bond closings and assist with equity negotiations
  • Oversee and coordinate cost certification processes
  • Support construction draw preparation and review
  • Manage oversight and coordination of 8609 form issuance
  • Ensure timely and accurate credit delivery
  • Respond to Project Team inquiries related to LIHTC, project basis, and equity structuring
  • Conduct initial average income analyses for LIHTC compliance
  • Address tenant file compliance issues affecting credit delivery
  • Process equity work-out requests and assist with debt/equity restructuring
  • Support with debt completion extensions and related documentation
  • Coordinate construction equity funding requests
  • Select money market investments at closing or when revisions are required
  • Structure laddered investment strategies at closing or as investments mature
  • Work with Construction, Asset, and Property Managers to determine appropriate model-based hypothetical scenarios; make long-term estimations and projections while recommending alternative plans for issues. Assist with financial modeling requirements throughout the lifecycle for pipeline deals, tax credit calculations, and source and use estimations.   
  • Prepare and review input draws and adjuster calculations
  • Update and revise development costs and Placed-In-Service (PIS) dates
  • Input lease-up projections and monitor performance
  • Manage special projects as assigned

 MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to pay attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage and meet with investors
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer modeling using Microsoft Excel
  • Travel up to 25% of the time

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance or Accounting preferred)
  • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience required
  • Real Estate Modeling in MS Excel preferred
