Senior Tax Analyst
As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will prepare and maintain tax records, returns, and reports while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role will also conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making and assists in the development and implementation of tax strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, related payments, work papers, and documentation.
- Draft workpapers for ASC 740 calculations, including deferred tax asset/liability schedules, disclosures, and footnotes.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provisions.
- Research, analyze, and interpret federal and state tax law as applied to returns, business transactions, and planning initiatives.
- Provide clear, concise review notes and recommendations, applying independent judgment to resolve issues.
- Support recurring and special projects while remaining current on legislative and tax policy developments impacting the company.
- Other job-related duties as requested
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; Master’s degree in accounting or Tax preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive tax experience in a multi-state environment, with emphasis on compliance, research, and planning
- Proficiency with tax compliance software preferred
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with Oracle preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Available to travel for training or as needed.
