Job Description
The Position
The position is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the Global Support Functions (GSF) and Corporate divisions.
Responsibilities
Monthly financial closing and reporting support activities:
Monthly close process, including accruals, S4 ledger and GR journal entries, and tie out process.
Account analyses to identify extraordinary items or unusual trends.
Refresh and review standardized reporting across all GSF divisions.
Management Reporting – performance management/trends/variance analysis/corrective actions.
Support Corporate division analyses, including GAAP only adjustments.
Master Data support.
Expense management/controlling/identifying risks and opportunities.
Prepaid Expenses and Internal Labor capitalization.
Portfolio spend tracking.
Supporting departmental initiatives.
Headcount analysis and reporting
Ad hoc reporting/analysis.
Development of capital and depreciation forecasts, including the annual budget, periodic forecasts and tallies and the long-range operating plan for the applicable GSF divisions.
Support the development of P&L budget and forecasts.
Evaluate, build, and implement new processes and tools that solve client problems and that improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
Enterprise savings support & analysis.
Business case support.
Process simplification support.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum three years of operations or finance experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, organize, direct, and deliver on operational objectives in the areas of planning, finance, and metric setting.
Ability to drive continuous operational improvement.
Sound and balanced judgment; ability to assess and manage risk; decisiveness.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in synthesizing data and visualizing in executive presentations.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, and with a high degree of professionalism.
Strong financial acumen.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Process improvement orientation, innovative change agent.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build internal and external relationships.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
Advanced degree/certification such as an MBA or CPA would be beneficial.
SAP/SAC/EDW skills are beneficial.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or related organization is desirable.
Travel: Less than 5% International Travel.
