SUMMARY: The Advancement Assistant position is a part-time (20 hours per week) support position, providing administrative assistance to the Advancement department. Responsibilities include assisting with social media posts, processing donations, and other routine and special projects. The Advancement Assistant performs these functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Development and is responsible for independently managing the daily task list efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide assistance to the Advancement department.
Assist with development tasks and projects, such as processing donations and thank you letters, managing EHC’s donor database, researching new donors, reporting, and other related tasks.
Assist with event planning and implementation.
Maintain databases and lists for Constant Contact.
Assist with communications and marketing, including social media posts, designing fliers, photography, and updating digital and print communications.
Provide general administrative support to the Advancement department.
Assists with special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to independently manage own time and workflow.
Ability to use Microsoft Office products, Canva, and EHC databases, or willingness to learn.
Ability to use various types of office equipment (copier, postage machine, etc. or the willingness to learn
Social media, design, and photography skills are a plus
Strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to share Christian faith with others.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires the ability to sit at a desk and read fine print on a computer screen for extended periods.
Requires the ability to bend and move around the office.
Requires the ability to lift 20 lbs.
