We are currently looking for a friendly and fun Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Cypress Grille department!

The Seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the leadership team in ensuring smooth, elevated service throughout the Cypress Grille and related outlets. This position oversees day-to-day service operations, leads pre-shift communications, and upholds the Club’s standards for member experience, service execution, and staff development. The ideal candidate will be a confident and professional leader with a strong hospitality background, committed to maintaining a culture of excellence and teamwork. This position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the peak season.

  • This is a Seasonal position
  • Schedule: Days, Nights, Weekends, & Holidays
  • Pay: $25.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  

Service Execution & Member Experience

  • Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts, ensuring elevated service and smooth dining operations during peak hours.
  • Maintains a high level of presence on the floor, supporting the front-of-house team and ensuring a refined, timely, and personalized member experience.
  • Assists with service coverage when needed by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, or supporting member interaction directly.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to member and guest concerns, ensuring swift service recovery and communication with year-round leadership.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Leads daily pre-shift briefings, communicating service priorities, menu features, and member preferences to the staff.
  • Provides in-the-moment coaching, service feedback, and mentorship to seasonal and core team members to uphold Quail West standards.
  • Supports the Food & Beverage Managers by reinforcing service protocols and team accountability throughout the shift.
  • Assists in welcoming and orienting seasonal new hires to club service culture and expectations.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the setup and readiness of dining areas, ensuring alignment with club appearance and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintains familiarity with the POS system to support staff and ensure proper ticketing, billing, and member account management.
  • Ensures that side work, opening/closing duties, and shift transitions are completed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitors par levels for service tools and supplies, communicating needs proactively to management.

Event Support & Coordination

  • Assists with the setup, execution, and breakdown of member events and banquets during the peak season.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely execution and proper coordination across departments.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintains current certifications (Food Safety, TIPS, CPR/AED) and model safe and sanitary service practices.
  • Understands and communicates emergency and life safety procedures when necessary

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess strong organizational, written and time management skills. 
  • Exhibit professionalism and leadership qualities through own self-actions. 
  • Must be compliant with and actively support a drug free workplace. 
  • Comply with all rules and regulations as stated whether verbal or written.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of food and beverage supervisory or lead server experience, preferably in a private club, luxury resort, or fine dining environment.
  • Proven ability to step into a fast-paced, seasonal operation and support existing leadership with minimal onboarding.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine and beverage service, and POS systems (Jonas experience preferred).
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism during high-volume service periods.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the peak season.
  • Must be comfortable working in outdoor environments, including the golf course, where temperatures can be high.
  • Certifications in Food Safety and TIPS preferred.

  • The position requires initiative, creativity, and self-motivation, as well as discipline.
  • Ability to motivate others and manage human resources effectively with the responsibility to achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Occasional sitting. Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, lifting.
  • Continuous standing, walking, repetitive actions for extended periods of time.
  • Heat sensitive environment.
