Essential Functions:

  • Directs and manages complete project lifecycle to include planning, staffing, implementing and evaluation. 
  • Contribute to development of project business cases, scope documents, and financial analysis.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule within approved ePMO KPI thresholds.
  • Utilize key practices of Change Management to support successful project implementation.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks proactively.   Develop contingency plans and risk response strategies as appropriate. 
  • Maintain risk and issue logs (RAID) with clear ownership and action plans.  Manage issue escalation and resolution process.
  • Serves as the Subject matter expert for tools and templates utilized in the Project Management process. Provides mentoring and training to project participants.
  • Collaborates with ePMO team in development of best practices and tools for project execution and management.  Including recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • May be assigned to a program requiring coordination with multiple workstreams and dependencies.
  • Understand technical architecture and solutions.   Ensure alignment between business and technical requirements.
  • Oversee system and user acceptance testing, testing signoff/approvals.  Ensure adherence to all change management policies and procedure prior to deployment/implementation.
  • Mentor project managers, providing guidance on project management best practices, tools, and stakeholder engagement to build team capability and ensure consistent delivery standards across the portfolio. Has deep experience across industries or domains, proactively identifies and mitigates enterprise risks, and navigates complex stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and reporting financial performance, with a high degree of financial literacy and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Demonstrates the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers and associates. Incorporates the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and service in every facet of work.

 

Job Related Qualifications:

Required 

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business or related field
  • Prior Experience: 8+ years of direct project management experience in business and technology specific projects 
  • Licenses or Accreditation: Project Management Professional (PMP)                          

 

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated project management experience effectively working with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex project environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in an effective concise manner to employees and executive management.
  • Solid working knowledge of technical infrastructure and processes, including data warehouse and reporting technology, data conversion, system integration, and testing.
  • Ability to positively lead and work cooperatively and effectively with all levels of staff to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to achieve company-wide results.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications, ServiceNow or other PPM software.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Extensive computer usage is required
  • Occasional travel within bank footprint

The expected rate of pay for this position is shown above.   Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.   Market and organizational factors are also considered.  In addition to your base rate of pay and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive cash or equity-based incentives based on the role and performance.
