EMR, a leader in commercial kitchen repair, has an Accounting Specialist position open in our Rosedale, MD office. This position oversees all A/P responsibilities & assists in maintaining accurate accounting records by processing vendor invoices and timely cash payments. Work hours are M-F 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities Include

  • Process & enter invoices with all documentation.
  • Verify & process check requests.
  • Process weekly check runs including all ACH and credit card payments.
  • Manage vendor setup, including for 1099 reporting if applicable.
  • Resolve discrepancies with invoices & vendor statements.
  • Monitor accounts & ensure payments are timely.
  • Collaborate with vendors & respond to all inquiries.
  • Assist with reconciling items on the bank reconciliation.
  • Track and resolve credits due.
  • Review accounts payable aging and issues biweekly with the Controller.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in accounts payable preferred.
  • Experience in the use of Outlook, Word, & Excel.
  • Demonstrates customer service, interpersonal communication, and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience in service/repair or related industry is preferred.
  • General knowledge of the accounting process is preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment a must.
