We are looking for an immediate joiner for the role Technical Lead - AWS and Linux with 6 to 7 years experience with good hands of experience in AWS & LINUX for Bangalore location.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor AWS infrastructure using tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party platforms (e.g., Datadog, New Relic).
  • Respond to and resolve Level 2 incidents and service requests in a timely manner (within SLAs).
  • Manage EC2 instances, S3 buckets, IAM users and roles, RDS, VPCs, and other core AWS services.
  • Perform system patching, backups, and restore procedures.
  • Assist in provisioning new resources via AWS Console, CLI, or Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Troubleshoot network, performance, and access-related issues.
  • Maintain and implement security best practices including IAM policies, security groups, and encryption.
  • Work with the DevOps or engineering team to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Analyze cost reports and help optimize AWS spending.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and operational playbooks.
  • Administered Linux servers in a production environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Created and managed users and groups, implemented file and directory permissions using ACLs, and resolved access-related issues.
  • Provided SUDO access to users and groups based on operational and security requirements.
  • Configured SSH key-based authentication for secure and passwordless access.
  • Created and extended file systems, monitored disk usage, and performed logical volume management (LVM) tasks, including volume creation, extension, and reduction.
  • Performed data backups using tar and data compression using zip and related utilities.
  • Cleaned up and compressed OS log files and managed system logs to optimize disk space.
  • Conducted kernel upgrades and scheduled reboots as part of planned weekend maintenance.
  • Installed and managed packages using YUM and RPM package managers.
  • Tuned system performance by updating kernel parameters in coordination with application and database teams.
  • Managed symbolic (soft) and hard links for efficient file and directory referencing.
  • Applied sticky bits and managed shared directories for secure public access.
  • Scheduled recurring administrative tasks using cron jobs for automation.
  • Configured network bonding interfaces to improve network throughput and redundancy.
  • Monitored CPU, memory, and disk utilization using tools such as top and uptime, and performed performance optimization as needed.
  • Managed and monitored swap space and adjusted user limitations according to requirements.
  • Cleaned up file systems upon reaching disk usage thresholds and performed in-depth log analysis for issue resolution.
  • Performed fsck on inconsistent file systems and resolved mounting/unmounting issues.
  • Handled secure file transfers using SCP and RSYNC protocols.
  • Managed file and directory permissions, ownership changes, and access control based on operational requirements.
  • Configured NTP (Network Time Protocol) for time synchronization across systems.
  • Implemented and managed NFS servers with various mounting options for seamless file sharing.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible automation (playbooks and ad-hoc commands).
  • Good understanding of Linux system administration and patching processes.
  • Ability to write and modify YAML-based playbooks for repeatable tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in automated environments.
