About the role
Do you want to make a real impact on the environment while driving change in one of Cornwall’s leading businesses? At Cormac, we’re on a mission to put sustainability at the heart of everything we do — and we need a passionate Environmental Sustainability Officer to help us get there.
In this varied role, you’ll:
- Ensure we meet and monitor against environmental compliance standards
- Lead inspections, audits, and investigations to spark positive change
- Shape and support our ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 systems
- Share your expertise with teams across the business, providing guidance, training, and solutions
You’ll be part of a supportive team that champions safety, innovation, and collaboration — with the flexibility to work both in the office and on-site across Cornwall.

About you
We’re looking for someone with the confidence and expertise to champion environmental sustainability across a complex and dynamic organisation.
You’ll need to bring:
- A degree in an environmental discipline.
- Proven experience of environmental legislation, compliance, and best practice.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong communication and influencing skills — able to present findings clearly, engage others, and inspire change.
- Adaptability, positivity, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Membership of a professional body (such as ISEP) and audit training would be desirable, but if you don’t yet have these, we’ll support you to achieve them.
- A full UK Driving Licence

Salary: £31,698
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Base: Hybrid working from home and office with our Scorrier , Redruth base as when need
