The Quality Control Lead plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and consistency across cultivation and production operations at Mint Cannabis’s Florida facilities.
This role supports the company’s Compliance team by overseeing quality control processes, supporting GMP adherence, managing supplier quality documentation, and assisting with Metrc and BioTrack reporting. The Specialist will ensure that products and services meet required specifications while identifying and resolving deviations from standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated agricultural and manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct daily inspections of cultivation and production areas to evaluate plant health, cleanliness, GMP, adherence to SOPs and state regulations.
- Track and monitor environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, airflow, and lighting.
- Identify quality issues early and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to state cannabis regulations, GMP, and internal quality procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of reports, inspections, findings, and corrective actions
- Support internal and external audits, including documentation prep and follow-up
- Monitor batch tracking systems and verify accurate plant and material labeling, as well as processing packaging and testing
- Assist with staff training on quality protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and compliance teams to resolve quality concerns
- Communicate issues clearly to leadership and contribute to process improvements
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in quality control, cultivation, processing, or manufacturing — cannabis industry experience
- Strong understanding of GMP standards and agricultural or cannabis quality systems
- Familiarity and previous participation in state-run compliance audits
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with digital logging platforms
- Familiarity with Florida cannabis regulations
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card (or equivalent credential) per Florida regulations
- Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance

A Few Things You’ll Need
- Must meet all applicable Florida state requirements to work in a licensed medical cannabis facility
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in grow/production environments with varying temperatures and humidity
- Ability to travel in-state to support other Mint facilities as needed
- May require the use of PPE in clean rooms or other controlled areas
