Formulation Development Intern
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
- Execute formulation development strategy for assigned projects;
- Performs hands-on execution of laboratory experiments and/or formulation development activities;
- Solves technical problems by application of scientific knowledge and creative thinking;
- Conduct pre-formulation activities or material characterization of APIs and excipients;
- Conduct testing of physical attributes of formulation compositions, prototypes and new products;
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation on information generated from testing and characterization for summary reports;
- Support formulation team in literature search and review;
- Present project summaries to formulation and/or cross-functional team;
- Write or review development plans and reports Participates/contributes in Innovation activities;
- Interact regularly with all members of the formulation team and other functional groups within the Development Center.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Currently a Master’s/Doctoral student in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Drug Delivery, or Chemical Engineering;
- Able to commit to a 6-month Co-Op assignment;
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under aggressive timeline;
- Strong computer & digital skills - Microsoft Office, DOE Software, modeling & simulation;
- Good communication skills Preferences ;
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and willingly to learn;
- Creative out-of-the box thinking and problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE) & data analysis;
- Hands-on experience working in a lab.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $36.80 to $46.30. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
