Wesco is looking for a dynamic Manager - Corporate Communications to join our small but mighty team! This role will be the dedicated communications partner for our IT and Digital organization, supporting executive thought leadership for our CIO and CDO, and helping tell the story of Wesco’s ongoing digital transformation. As the Manager - Corporate Communications, you will develop and implement communication strategies to achieve organizational goals, support internal and external communication, and build relationships with stakeholders across our global organization. You will ensure internal and external messages and tactics are highly effective and consistent.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a comprehensive communications program for internal and external audiences in support of business priorities. 
  • Assist in the development, production, and dissemination of communications materials to drive strategies, ensuring a unified, consistent, and positive message.
  • Develop and manage various communication materials, including press releases, social media content, website content, video, and leadership communications.
  • Support executive communications and thought leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze data to measure effectiveness and impact of communications programs and special projects and contribute to our global communications center of excellence. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with peers and partners in various areas including Marketing, HR, Legal, Operations and our strategic business units (SBUs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related area required; Master Degree preferred
  • 7 years experience in progressive communication related roles; previous agency, public relations, media relations or corporate experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven record of successfully implementing and managing a wide range of communication channels, including Outlook, PowerPoint, video, social media tools and electronic publications
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment; ability to counsel and creatively present information to all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Proven project management skills and strong supervisory skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, conflict resolution and investigative skills
  • Team-oriented and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company
  • Experience working in a large, multi-location organization preferred
  • Experience communicating across geographies, languages, and cultures preferred
  • Experience creating communication plans to support digital transformation or other major change initiatives across a large, multi-location organization preferred
  • Event planning experience preferred
