#11756 Instructional Assistant - Bilingual (Spanish) @ Grimes, Sycamore Hills,& Zimmerman Elementary at Colton Joint Unified School District

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment in English and a designated second language; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; provide routine clerical support.

TESTING INFORMATION: The District Spanish/English Oral Translation, Paraprofessional, Spanish Bilingual Skills, and Spanish/English Written I Translation tests will be given by invitation only on Thursday, September 18th, 2025. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to test and notified via email. The same District test may only be taken once every 30 days (15 days for current regular employees).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School graduate or the equivalent. Associate Degree or 48-semester units of college course work from an accredited college or university. Or Testing: Passing scores on District Paraprofessional test, within the last three (3) years. And: Passing scores on District tests: Spanish Bilingual Skills, Spanish/English Translation I, Spanish/English Oral Translation, within the last 3 years. Experience: Sufficient experience working with school-age children in an organized setting or learning environment. Any combination of training and/or experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered. Other: Spanish/Bilingual Required

Range 40 of the Classified Salary Schedule C. Family medical and dental benefits are available at 85.71% District paid.
