The Role
Step into the exciting role of Sales Manager and become a driving force behind our hotel’s success. As a key member of the sales team, you’ll be responsible for generating new business, building strong client relationships, and ensuring our hotel is the top choice for groups, corporate travelers, and special events. Your focus will be on identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and converting leads into booked business. From prospecting and site visits to negotiating contracts and closing deals, you’ll play a vital role in achieving revenue goals and positioning our hotel as a standout in the market. Working alongside the Director of Sales & Marketing, you’ll contribute to strategic initiatives while owning your individual sales production. You’ll collaborate closely with operations and revenue management to deliver seamless experiences for our clients and ensure repeat business.

As an integral part of the sales team, the Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and delivering revenue results. Essential Job Functions
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new business opportunities to achieve and exceed individual sales goals.
- Conduct outside sales calls, site inspections, and client entertainment to drive revenue in assigned market segments.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing key accounts through consistent communication, account reviews, and superior service.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and other communications to close business in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately enter, track, and maintain account information, client interactions, and booking details in the hotel’s CRM and brand systems.
- Coordinate details of group bookings with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, providing updates on activity, pipeline, and opportunities.
- Assist with the creation of sales action plans and targeted prospecting strategies under the direction of the Director of Sales.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, tradeshows, and community activities to promote awareness and generate leads.
- Maintain a well-documented and organized file system to support effective account management and follow-up.
- Deliver superior client service by responding promptly to inquiries, managing client expectations, and resolving concerns quickly.
- Continuously build knowledge of the competitive set and local market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Exhibit a positive, team-oriented attitude and maintain strong communication with colleagues across all hotel departments.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and sales training to continually improve performance.
