Position Summary: The Fiscal Grant Manager oversees the financial administration and compliance of grant-funded projects. This role ensures proper budgeting, reporting, and fiscal stewardship in accordance with grant requirements and organizational policies. The manager collaborates with program teams and external funders to maintain transparency and accountability for all grant expenditures.
Key Responsibilities: ? Assists in developing, monitoring, and managing budgets for multiple grant-funded projects ensuring alignment with grant terms and organizational standards. ? Track grant expenditures and revenue, maintaining detailed and accurate financial records. ? Track school and department expenditures and revenue, maintaining detailed, accurate and up-to-date financial records. ? Monitor school, department, athletic, and district budgets to ensure proper oversight and alignment with financial guidelines. ? Prepare and submit timely financial reports and documentation required by grantors. ? Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies related to grant funding. ? Collaborate with program managers to forecast financial needs and provide budget analysis and recommendations. ? Coordinate audits related to grants and facilitate responses to audit inquiries. ? Manage grant funds and reconcile accounts regularly with journal entries and bank transfers as required. ? Provide training and guidance to staff on fiscal policies and procedures. ? Maintain knowledge of grant funding trends and fiscal best practices. ? The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Qualifications: ? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred; NM School Business Official License preferred. ? Proven experience in grant management, fiscal oversight, or accounting. ? Strong knowledge of grant compliance requirements, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. ? Proficiency with financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite. ? Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. ? Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. ? Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy and integrity.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. The following may be required: Sitting, standing, lifting, moving about the office, carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture.
Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.
Work Environment: This position typically operates in an office environment with standard working hours. Occasional travel may be required for training, audits, or meetings.
Terms of Employment: 246 Days, District Manager Salary established yearly by the district.
