About the Role:
As a significant contributor to the Company’s back-office support and administrative team, this role will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and optimization of our NetSuite ERP platform. This is accomplished by working closely with key stakeholders and functional teams across the company to elicit and analyze business and user requirements, studying new or existing system capabilities, designing application and resource processes, recommending system controls and protocols, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, and writing specifications. We are looking for someone who not only understands NetSuite inside and out, but also has a strong desire to help streamline operations, improve system efficiency, and ensure data integrity across departments.
About the Team:
Symmetry’s Finance & Business Operations Systems team is growing and scaling with the company! Within this team, our Enterprise Applications group is responsible for the software applications that support our internal business processes. As our business scales and becomes more complex, this role will complement existing team members creating a fully-staffed group responsible for a robust, mature, efficient, and predictable operating model for all of Symmetry to partner with.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- System Management & Optimization
- Configure, customize, and maintain NetSuite to ensure optimal performance, security, and adoption.
- Perform system audits, manage user roles and permissions, and oversee regular updates and enhancements to ensure NetSuite meets business needs and objectives.
- Deliver daily support to end users, promoting best practices to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in NetSuite.
- Customization & Automation
- Develop custom workflows, scripts, dashboards, saved searches, and reports to automate and improve business processes.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform regular systems audits, and maintain documentation of configurations and customizations.
- Integrations & Data Management
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance system accuracy, efficiency, and functionality with NetSuite and integrated systems.
- Lead integrations with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, payroll, BI tools) to ensure seamless data flow.
- Monitor data integrity, perform imports/exports, and conduct regular data audits.
- Support & Training
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot user issues, and act as the first point of contact for NetSuite-related questions.
- Provide subject matter expertise and hands-on technical contributions to major initiatives, including enterprise application integration development, data warehouse maintenance and continuous improvement, and business intelligence.
- Create documentation, conduct training sessions, and develop user guides to drive adoption.
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Collaborate with Finance and other teams to map current processes, identify efficiency gaps, deliver enhancements, and lead new initiatives.
- Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and analytics to support data-driven decisions.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of experience as a NetSuite Administrator with a high proficiency in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk, Saved Searches, Workflows, Form Layouts, and integrations to other business applications, experience working alongside accounting teams, as well as an understanding of accounting functions.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to design and align enterprise application initiatives to business objectives, optimizing solid processes and supporting a data-driven decision model.
- Proven experience working across the organization and ability to build strong relationships and trust across the organization, powered by exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly and concisely conveying information to employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, demonstrating urgency, timely delivery, and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Significant experience with leading internal projects, gathering and documenting design requirements and able to work through problems with stakeholders directly. Strong understanding of financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Revenue Management) and OneWorld/multi-entity configurations (a plus). In addition, hands-on experience with third-party integration platforms or middleware.
- Preference for NetSuite Administrator or Consultant certifications.
- Demonstrated familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and agility and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environments.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $120,000/yr to $143,000/yr in Scottsdale & most remote locations, and $154,000/yr - $184,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Symmetry has a physical office space in Scottsdale. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).
When approved to work from a location other than the office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
