Position Summary
The Logistics Planner will be an organized and analytical member of the Suja Operations team, responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods from the manufacturing facility to customers. This role emphasizes timely delivery, cost efficiency, and smooth interdepartmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Schedule:
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM PST, Monday–Friday, to align with East Coast carrier schedules (with flexibility as business needs allow).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain transportation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to manage outbound shipments
Document processes and update changes quarterly
Analyze shipping data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Resolve delivery issues (overages, shortages, damages) and proactively communicate delays or disruptions
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and warehouse teams to align logistics strategies and enhance efficiency
Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and carrier performance
Support implementation of logistics software and automation tools

Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation planning, or supply chain operations
- TMS implementation experience is a plus
- Knowledge of cold chain planning
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations a plus
- CPG industry experience a plus
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Understanding of food safety and regulatory guidelines for warehouse/transportation settings a plus
Knowledge
High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Internet applications)
Experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS systems)
Language Skills
Excellent professional oral, written, and presentation communication skills required
Occasional presentations required for the Operations team

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to perform root cause analysis and collaborate on action plans

Major Business/Professional Contacts
- Regular contact with corporate cross-functional partners, warehouse teams, carrier partners, and 3PL providers. Occasional contact with customers.
Working and Environmental Conditions
Primarily office-based, with regular use of computer, keyboard, and phone
Rarely required to work in warehouse environments (approx. 35°F)
Occasional travel (1–2 times per year) for offsite events or warehouse visits
Physical Demands
Prolonged sitting and computer use
Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
