About the Department

The purpose of the Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations job is to ensure that the University assets are protected through applicable external and internal regulations.

Position Duties

  • Supervises game day operations for all ULM Athletics events.
  • Supervises all athletic facility maintenance and coordinates with Physical Plant to execute maintenance projects.
  • Enhance an organization that executes the business of Division I athletics while also being a committed partner with the academic community.
  • Implement plans, policies, procedures, and programs that are in compliance with the University of Louisiana System, university, conference, NCAA rules and regulations, applicable state and federal laws, and which promote the mission of the Department, as well as the University's high standard of academic excellence and the general welfare of student-athletes.
  • Help ensure an environment that is committed to the best interest of student-athletes consistent with their educational, ethical, social, and physical development.
  • Foster a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Understand and communicate the value of athletics to the overall mission and strategic plan of the University to both internal and external constituencies.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advance degree preferred
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Proven history of excellent administrative and financial management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with multiple constituent groups.
  • Unwavering commitment to ethics and fiscal responsibility.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity.
  • Must demonstrate an appreciation of university culture and tradition.
