With this comes the necessity of a purchasing agent located in our corporate office.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product requirements and gaps based on company needs. Research and identify products and develop broad market and competitor knowledge to satisfy gaps. Define internal product launch roadmap, outlining key features, releases, timelines and training.   
  • Oversee vendor build programs, managing inventory requirements and support structure, working with Integration Centers to ensure assembly needs are met. Ensure internal communication to all inside and outside sales reps to promote service level and facilitate in the growth of sales and gross margin.
  • Interface between suppliers and sales on commercial issues, new product launches and product changes. Coordinate training within the company for all groups. Have knowledge of competitors and competitive lines.
  • Manage sourcing activities: consolidation for non-core or competitor brands, replacement product for legacy and obsolete items, assisting cross-functional teams with identifying sources for product used in custom solutions and/or alternative product when needed to meet critical deliveries.
  • Work with Sales Management to develop and maintain product and solutions directories.
  • Be familiar with all supplier pricing, build and inventory programs to ensure information is communicated to inside and outside sales. Stay current with product knowledge, changes in supplier product mix and market trends.
  • Qualify new suppliers, verifying potential duplication or conflict with existing suppliers.
  • Coordinate vendor awareness and product training internally.
  • Manage vendor incentive programs.
  • Manage content for master work orders | Berendsen BOMs, ensuring all required documentation is provided to Integration Centers, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of BOMs. Provide support in BOM process to ensure clear instruction is provided to Integration Centers.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance on product when additional support is needed by Sales.
  • Provide inside and outside sales with accurate build and conversion options, assisting with delivery, expediting, and product knowledge, upon request.
  • Review available inventory to determine the most economical build to meet customer demand. Follow management-established guidelines, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with customer demand by collaborating with Procurement and applying best practices in purchasing, build planning, conversions, and sourcing.
  • Manage the review, implementation and deactivation of build programs.
  • Assist buyers with supplier return initiatives and the consolidation of non-strategic products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience in a Technical Field
  • Experience in Supply Chain preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis and Numerical Reasoning
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
