As a Provider Customer Specialist on our Dental PPO Provider Network team, you’ll provide Dental Network support for external customers including dental providers and claims. This includes reviewing, analyzing, making appropriate decisions and recommendations pertaining to provider demographic and tax information for customers.
Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
- Research and resolve claim payment requests in collaboration with other areas as needed. This may include claims, audited providers, and provider issues.
- Analyze, research, compile, share, and maintain network information with external customers for new, existing, and out of network provider records.
- Effectively perform in all production roles, meeting, and exceeding established performance metrics.
- Collaborate across business unit to ensure synergies, training, and communication in place to remove gaps impacting the provider experience.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Who You Are:- 6+ years of customer service experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Knowledge of the DVCN system, dental claims, and/or dental networks are all preferred.
- Requires a broad range of provider, network and systems knowledge and must apply that knowledge by referencing appropriate tools and resources.
- Ability to efficiently navigate and use multiple technology solutions, including intranet, internet, Microsoft Office and other software or internal tools as required.
- Must have strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, attention to detail and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to frequent change, make independent decisions and take ownership to resolve issues.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy on a large volume of work with limited supervision.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
