Heathside Veterinary Surgery is looking for a friendly, hardworking, compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to be part of our Customer Care Team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
*Schedule appointments and manage the booking system efficiently
*Communicating with clients via phone and email
*Dispensing medications as directed by the Veterinary Surgeon
*Supporting our Veterinary team with admin tasks and client communication
*Ensuring a smooth and caring experience for every visitor
*Relay accurately and action in a timely manner all messages taken
*Taking payments and cashing up
*Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date
*Provide information on services, products, and preventive care to clients
*Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies

What We’re Looking For
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Ability to multitask in a busy environment
*A genuine love for animals and empathy for their owners
*Previous receptionist or Veterinary experience is a plus, but not essential
*Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
*An excellent communicator with strong empathy
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
*A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills

Your shift pattern
This is a full-time role working 42 hours per week, covering a variety of shifts such as 8.30 am to 5.30 pm 9 am to 6 pm 10 am to 7 pm. You will also be included in the 1:4 Saturday rota working 8.30 am to 4 pm.
