The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $125,000 - $140,000 per year plus bonus. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
Job Summary
GEA seeks an experienced and strategic Finance Manager with strong expertise in manufacturing, engineering, and international business operations. This role will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and consolidation for GEA Systems North America. The Finance Manager will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting business performance, and partnering with senior leadership to ensure operational efficiency and profitability across multiple revenue streams.
The ideal candidate will have advanced financial modeling skills, multinational corporate experience, and a deep understanding of Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) accounting for large-scale projects. This is a highly visible role requiring excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of two finance professionals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead financial processes including development of budgets, forecasts, labor rates, and financial models.
- Partner closely with LPT NAM Leaders and other key business partners to provide financial guidance and insights.
- Analyze Business Line performance by monitoring KPIs such as revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, and overhead expenses.
- Manage and ensure accuracy of financial reporting in coordination with the North American accounting team.
- Act as a key financial partner for the After Sales Service team, providing planning, analysis, and modeling to support financial targets.
- Oversee financial planning for support functions including engineering, procurement, and supply chain.
- Collaborate with project controlling teams to deliver accurate forecasting and planning.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes using ERP systems and Microsoft tools.
- Provide financial expertise to help business leaders interpret financial information and drive improved results.
- Continuously develop industry knowledge, technical expertise, and project management skills.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior management.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with ERP/financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics or SAP preferred).
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Cognos, Tableau, BW (CBI), or Power BI (preferred).
- Strong data analysis skills: ability to validate data, build queries, interpret results, and identify root causes.
- Percentage-of-Completion (PoC) accounting experience (strongly preferred).
- Manufacturing/costing experience a plus.
- CPA or other finance/accounting certification preferred.
- Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders with confidence.
- Desire to continually learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred) or Finance.
- 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 4 years in financial planning & analysis.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, with IFRS experience a significant plus.
- Experience working in multinational, complex business environments preferred.
