Rotating Day and Night shift, 2-5 days working per week, 12 hours each day

Hours of work will be required to provide production support on a rotating 24hr, 7 day a week shift roster.
The Role
Our Ridge street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose and Dairy Free range.
You will be responsible for carrying out the installation and maintenance of a range of mechanical, automated & high-speed equipment to the applicable standards within a team environment.
Please note this role works on a rotating roster, candidates must be ok working across days, nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
Complete planned preventative, predictive and corrective work to support the safety, quality and reliability of the production equipment
Provide Breakdown support to production to maximise uptime
Provide feedback from tasks and assist with reliability improvement programs to increase reliability
Work as part of operational readiness teams for new equipment/plant installations and provide technical input
Maintain high standards in relation to Safe Work Practices
About you
Cert 3 mechanical engineering – mechanical trade – fitting and turning, relevant experience in welding and fabrication are also welcomed
Confined Space, Boiler Ticket and Working at Height are good to have
Basic computer skill – MEX system & excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with team members and management effectively
Previous experience in Food Industry or FMCG is preferred
Punctual, reliable and a team player with a positive and can-do attitude
